About the number-color sudoku puzzle
Hello, I am Steven. My hobby is to craft together digital ideas.
In July 2005, while on holiday in Croatia, I was toying with the idea of getting more out of the regular Sudoku puzzle. A few days before I had seen my first sudoku puzzle in some airplane magazine while flying over France, and this marked my week-long intense interest in the original number-based sudoku puzzle.
Convinced that something more was possible with the sudoku format, I came up with the idea of combining a number-based and a color-based sudoku (on July 8th, 2005, actually). Later that month I decided to program the whole thing as a flash widget and to upload it to my website Squobble.com. So that's how the number-color sudoku was born.
